53 Years old tobacco chewer had mouth cancer in 2024. He was Operated followed by Radiation. But during radiation itself he developed a large metastatic ulcerated lymph node in the neck area as seen in picture. Oncologist suggested to start chemotherapy but as patient also had diabetes and heart disease too and considering weak health, there was a high risk and limited hope of success. He was allowed to have integrative therapy. So Patient visited me in December 2024 and agreed to follow plant based vegan diet with no milk and no milk products and no sugars. I Started with few scientifically proven and tested herbs (Like Curcumin, Ashwagandha, Andrographis, Giloy, Cannabis etc.) along with plant based diet.
Fortunately, he could complete six cycles of chemotherapy without much side effects or ADR and his wound almost healed completely with the disease in remission.
Conclusion: In a given case of metastatic Buccal mucosa cancer, adding of herbal Medicines as an adjuvant or integrative treatment, it seems that his ulcerated large metastatic Lymph node responded better and helped to heal it. And even ADRs were in control due to Plant based diet and integrative therapy without abrogating efficacy of chemotherapy.
