48 years old Perimenopause, non-diabetic, non-hypertensive female, came with the complaints of hair fall, weight gain, lethargy irregular menses. She thought all these due to nearing menopause. On evaluation (17.12.24), her TSH was 20.80 Micro IU/ml with Low T3 (2.47) and T4 (0.71). With adequate Vitamin B12, D3 levels and normal liver enzymes and no urinary infection.
She did not want to start Thyroxin Medicine so agreed to do the plant based diet, and followed it for two weeks on most of the days.
On 6th Jan 2025 (almost 18 days) she reevaluated and was surprised to see reduction of TSH to 15.48 almost 25 percent reduction and improvement in T3 and T4. Clinically she was feeling lighter, and agreed to continue same Plant based Diet for next thirty days.
