Effect of Plant Based Diet and Evidence Based Herbal Medicines on Dyslipidaemia and High Blood Pressure
36 years old male, resident of Mumbai, nonsmoker, nonalcoholic, with family history of BP and cholesterol to father, came in month of May 2024 with reports done in February 2024 of raised lipids and weight was 81 kg. Height approximately 168 cm. He is typically having white coat hypertension. I Started with diet and certain herbal Medicines like Arjuna Trifala. From the month of Mid-June 2024 put him strict plant based diet which totally excluded milk and milk products (No ghee) and no sugars and bakery food. Though difficult due to frequent travelling, He tried his level best. Every two months follow up showed good clinical improvement, though BP at clinic always had higher numbers, at home it was around 130 /90 After almost 8 months of Plant based diet there is a remarkable reduction in LDL, Triglycerides and Total cholesterol

Observation and conclusions: Non pharmacological interventions with plant based diet followed regularly for the majority of the times, along with moderate exercise and evidence based herbal Medicines, helped him to reduce his raised lipids and weight. More such studies to be done with such protocols.
