72 Years old Male patient was diagnosed with Metastatic Stomach cancer. He was operated in July 2023 and was asked to take chemotherapy as disease was advanced. But due to fear of side effects and elderly age, he and his family decided not to take chemotherapy etc. and approached me.
Treatment Prescribed
After taking the consent, I started standardised Herbal medications like Curcumin, Medicated Cannabis and Kamduha (to reduce his Pitta).
He took all these for one year along with diet. And on 20th Maybhe took new PET scan and found that there are no new lesions or mets anywhere in the body and there were no traces of cancer cells in the body. Even his sonography showed reduction in the size of his prostate gland and reduction in post void urine residue in Bladder, which indicates reduction of obstruction to the flow of urine.
Metastatic Adenocarcinoma of Pancreas.
History:
75 years old female with type 2 Diabetes was diagnosed with Cancer of pancreas in 2021. From Sept 2021 to January 2022 took chemos then was operated by respected Dr Shrikhande sir at Tata Hospital in February 2022. Post surgery Chemo could not be given due to severe weakness. She was better till April 2023 at that time on evaluation found to have sudden elevation of ca19.9 to 400 (done at reputed laboratory) Ct scan showed new nodules in Juxta pleural area around 2 cm. Biopsy confirmed cancer. So surgery done in Jun2023. No chemo given as she was reluctant. Ca 19.9 dropped.
Ayurveda medicines based on Curcumin , Ashwagandha and Cannabis (Solazen) started before surgery. From May 2023. (operation in June 2023. Till date no relapse, in between ca 19.9 increased marginally but again dropped down without any modern interventions.
Now in May 2024 it is 60.
Quality of life good
Weight gained 6 kgs.
Diabetes little fluctuating due to mango season
Observation
Relapsed Metastatic Adenocarcinoma of Pancreas, possibly also managed by Curcumin, Ashwagandha and Cannabis based medicines. With good quality of life and no relapse.
